Aliments ED Foods Implements Direct Synchronization to GS1’s ECCnet Database

Aliments ED Foods announced today that it has successfully implemented a process to synchronize directly from the ED Foods’ internal product database to GS1’s ECCnet database.

Montreal, Quebec, February 12, 2010 - The company invested 1-year of R&D to develop this innovative process in response to the challenge to deliver up-to-date standards-compliant product information and increase accuracy.

“As part of the current trend to achieve data accuracy we made a commitment early in 2009 to focus on improving information sharing and collaboration,” said Robert Eiser, General Manager of ED Foods. “Data integrity is key to building successful relationships with our partners and will provide additional value. It will help them achieve greater operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth.”

Aliments ED Foods is extremely pleased to have reached their data integrity goals well in advance of the foodservice industry target of December 31, 2010. This achievement demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment and mission to be the most reliable provider of food solutions for their partners in the foodservice industry.
