Research & development

At ED, research and development goes on in our test kitchens, and in our daily lives.  With our true market knowledge, we can spot tendencies before they become trends.  And work with you to turn them to your advantage.  ED invests 2.5% of sales in research and development annually.  Within our 1,600 square foot lab we have a fully equipped test kitchen as well as a dedicated tasting room.

  • ED developed Canada’s retail “real meat” beef and chicken stocks for a major private label
  • We have developed and produced custom seasoning packets for insertion into bags of frozen vegetables
  • New private label products can be ready for sampling within 2 weeks
